The Easy Cheap Alternative To a Web SITE-WordPress

wordpress instal

Realised like me we do not have Html skills or the money to build a web site-So thought I would put a few posts together on a alternative to start small and not rob your bank.

We are going with WordPress-- The easiest blog set up that can cost you nothing for a base site to a few dollars a month to have a great working platform.

This first post will go into the things you need to set up your web site.

You need to get a Domain name - go to GoDaddy Here you can type in and check if your domain name you want is free-They are cheap-also if you search for coupons on Google you can get more discount, the last one I used was OYH3 not sure if this still works-Take some time picking your domain name-It must be relevant to your niche idea-Try to get .com or .net do not put hyphens in-such as (marketing-internet.com) all to hard for people to remember.Keep it simple and focused.

----------------------------------------------------

Next you need to sign up with a hosting company-Here I will always use HostGator-great on line help and forums also cheap plans to start with like the Baby plan at around $10 a month gives you unlimited domain names to host with a great Cpanel which you will need Fantisico to set up WordPress within minutes-will explain more on next posts.
With Go daddy you then just direct your domain to HostGator-all very simple, however if you get stuck email or put a post in-help is close at hand--Let me know how you go so far--

Next post will be on a simple WordPress set up-from themes to plugins and then on to how to monotize your site and to get it seen out there-We have a lot of work ahead!! But stay focused and we will have a great web site/blog starting to earn you some money-Remember "Rome was not built in a day"-DM
